We identified that video calls are very common across all segments of society and celebrity endorsements have an extremely positive impact on the user’s purchase behavior. Based on these insights, the team cracked an innovative engagement for AU Bank’s campaign by creating an ad unit completely covering the users' screen to look like an incoming Video call from the ace Bollywood actor, Aamir Khan himself!

Ad Experience

The ad featured a 'green answer call' icon, enticing users to interact by tapping it and answering a call from the Bollywood star. Upon interaction, it automatically played a video ad from the bank starring Aamir Khan and Kiara Advani, informing users about the monthly interest payout feature on AU Savings Account. The ad also allowed users to initiate the online account opening process through an advanced Video Banking service.

This creative and relatable ad format resonated with the bank's target audience, earning significant praise on their social media profiles. The full-screen ad, featuring a call from Aamir Khan, had an element of surprise that piqued users' curiosity and encouraged them to engage with it.
